Born March 08,1959 in Appleton, Wisconsin to Barbara G. Fulcer Platte (Arizona) and John J. Van Mun (Wisconsin). Tom lived in Dubois, Wyoming for twenty years and worked in Jackson and the surrounding areas as a roofer and took pride in his workmanship. Tom had many good friends and loved the outdoors. He liked to go canoeing camping and hiking with his beloved dog (Bomke) but Tom called him Moke. Tom will be dearly missed. He is survived by his parents Barbara G. Platte and John(JoAnn)Van Mun, his brothers Dan (Linda) Van Mun, Alaska and Dave Van Mun, Hawaii, daughter Annie Craton, California, step-sister Barb(George) Ulmen, Wisconsin, step-brothers Scott (Pete) Roberts, Wisconsin and Rick (Jennie) Roberts, Wisconsin, and his former wife Lynnann Steffel, Michigan. He was proceeded in death by his baby sister Cindy Van Mun, his maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts and uncles and three step-brothers, Dave, Dan and Rob Alan Roberts. Tom was affectionately known as "Roofer Tom" in Dubois, Wy. A sincere thank you to Cindy Jackelen, Yevette Sander, and Jay Schuemen for all the wonderful help they gave Tom during his illness, and their friendship they had with him. Tom always mentioned his good friends. Tom was very special to all who knew him.
