Peter Brian Shaw was born on January 10, 1948. Peter B as most people called him, lost his battle to cancer and passed away peacefully on May 15. He was traveling across the country after his stint in the Army and ended up in Jackson Hole and never left. He worked for the Wilson Fire Department for over 30 years where many would recognize him from one of this favorite events, the Wilson Chicken Fry. Peter had one daughter Stephanie Burch and 3 step sons, Jody, Matt and Jeff Tibbitts. He was married to Tobi Shaw for over 30 years who passed away on December 29, 2005 of cancer as well. Peter B was infamous for his sense of humor, contagious laugh and vibrant smile. He had many friends that he shared endless laughs and supported him along the way of his courageous battle with cancer. He was a great listener and always remembered what you told him, even to his last days. He wanted to thank Westy, Travis, The Fire Department, Joy with Hospice and all his great friends throughout the years.
There will be a celebration of his life at 2 p.m on Sunday May 19 at the Stagecoach. We will have a formal service June 29 Saturday at 3600 Cheney Lane on the Village Road to allow his daughter Stephanie and his brother, Bill Shaw to attend. There will be music, food and plenty of MGD! So please attend both and if you can't because you have to work, Peter B was known to say " I will be ok and go get some work done!"
He will be missed.
