Nick was born on October 14, 1980, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the first-born son of Lee and Ann Izard. He lived in many beautiful places such as Colorado, Alaska, Arizona, and Mississippi, where he met his life-long sweetheart, Sasha. They then moved out west to Idaho and Wyoming, where they married in 2007 and began their family in 2008. He gave his life to Christ in 2009 and became a member of Cornerstone Church in Wilson.
Nick was passionate about everything. He threw himself into loving God and others, he was a devoted family man, and he was an extreme outdoorsman who enjoyed soccer, kayaking, climbing, fishing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, and game to try anything once. He was either about to embark on an adventure, on an adventure, or just returning from an adventure. Nick was a warm, compassionate, outgoing man with a terrific sense of humor and was always willing to give selflessly to others.
Nick is survived by his wife, Sasha Izard, of Jackson, Wyoming; his daughter Cheyanne Izard, of Jackson, Wyoming; his parents Lee and Ann Izard, of Jackson, Wyoming; his brother Adam Izard, of Breckenridge, Colorado, and his brother Brian, of Jackson, Wyoming, and a host of friends and family from coast to coast. He is predeceased by his grandmother, Charlotte Izard, of Sparta, Wisconsin.
Nick's memorial was held on December 19, 2012, at Craig Thomas Visitor Center in Grand Teton National Park, a place that was very close to his heart because he worked and played there.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the memorial accounts set up at either 1st Interstate Bank or at www.cornerstonejh.com. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.valleymortuaryjackson.com
