Jeannette Wilson died May 28, 2009 in Ennis, Montana at the age of 96. Jeannette was born April 3, 1913 in Daniel, Wyoming to Charles Reed and Cora Abigail Payne Martin. She was second to the oldest in a family of 10. In 1925 they moved to Jackson, Wyoming where she completed her education. She married her life long partner William (Bill) Wilson on January 3, 1932, in Jackson, Wyoming and they lacked just 3 months of celebrating their 70th anniversary before he passed away in 2001. Jeannette and Bill had their first cattle ranch in Jackson and sold to move to Sheridan Montana in 1965. She was truly a ranchers' wife, loved working outdoors with Bill, was an excellent mother and homemaker. She had a very strong and independent spirit and lived on her own for the last 8 years. Her kind spirit will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children Vernon (Geri) Wilson, Ennis, MT; Gene (Colleen) Wilson, Cheyenne, WY; Wilma Showers, Bliss, ID; Janet (Boyd) Ellis, Brigham City, UT. Brothers Roy Martin, Jackson, WY and Donald (Jan) Martin, Menan, ID. Brother-in-law Jim (Harriett) Wilson, Afton, WY; and many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and numerous brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the K&L Mortuary Chapel at Sheridan. Interment will be in Jackson, WY at the South Park Cemetery on Wednesday June 3, 2009 at 1:00 PM. The family will be receiving friends at the K&L Mortuary Chapel at Sheridan on Monday June 1st from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
