Frederick Hugh Munger, 94, passed away June 3, 2009, in Jackson, WY. Born December 29, 1914 in Fullerton, CA to William Ross and Frances J. (Prothero) Munger, he lived the majority of his life in the San Bernardino area. He lived the last five years in Star Valley, WY. Hugh married Virginia Ray Cox on June 12, 1936 and had two daughters, Jeanette Smith (Bob) and Virginia Galazin (Jack). They were divorced and on June 2, 1951 he married Emma Ellen (Lemons) Monger. They had two children, David Hugh (Andy) and Susan Kuhn (David). He was preceded in death in 2003 by his wife of 52 years, Ellen and 2 brothers, Maurice and Ross. He is survived by his 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his special friend, Rosalie Best of Thayne, WY. Hugh was a man of faith, who tried to live his life in a way that pleased God. He a milkman for many years for Brookside Dairy. He loved all sports, with a special love for fishing and golfing. His passion was golf which led him to a second career working 20 years for San Bernardino Golf Course. He started as a caddy at 12 and was still playing golf regularly at age 92. A graveside service will be in San Bernardino, California on Tuesday, June 9th. A memorial service will be at the Star Valley RV Resort Barn on Thursday, July 9, 2009 from 2-4 P.M.
