Brent Laird

August 7, 1956 — April 8, 2016

Brent Duane Laird, 59, of Idaho Falls passed away Friday, April 8th at his home in Jackson, WY after battling with a rare form of cancer. His final days were spent surrounded by his family and friends. He was born and raised in Idaho Falls, graduated from Skyline High School in 1974,and attended Idaho State University where he obtained his degree. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served on a mission in San Antonio, TX. He worked at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) as an Electronic Technician for 35 years. He was a dedicated hard working man, who was adored by his wife, and idolized by his children and grandchildren. He touched the hearts of so many people. Brent is survived by his wife Varvara, four daughters, Kristal Laird of Idaho Falls, ID, Irina (Jackson) McNeil of Idaho Falls, ID, Natasha (Tom) Bala of Idaho Falls, ID, Corrin Laird of Idaho Falls; two sons, Daynen Laird of Pocatello, ID, Dallin (Amber) Laird of Pocatello, ID; 3 grandchildren with one on the way; 4 brothers Kent (Tammy) Laird of Kemmerer, WY, Kay Laird of Idaho Falls, Kelly Laird of Idaho Falls, Jimmy (Darla) Laird of Idaho Falls; 3 Sisters, Penny (Kay) Bybee of Rexburg ID, Sandra (Robert) Haller of Ammon, ID, and Connie (Mike) Ball of Nampa, ID. He was preceded in death by both of his parents Rulon Flint and Margaret Nadine Laird. As Brent learned of his progressing rare form of cancer, his last wish was to donate his body to science for research purposes; because of this the family will be having a Remembrance Service, which will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 16th at the Grandview LDS Ward located at 1450 Mountain View Ln, Idaho Falls, ID 83402.
