Barbara Jo Lyons

November 1, 1950 — June 27, 2024

Jackson WY

Barbara Jo Lyons of Wilson, Wyoming passed away June 27, 2024, peacefully.

Barbara was born on November 1,1950 to George Boddeker and Joanne Pauley in Oak Park, Illinois. She graduated from Edgewood High School in West Covina and then earned a BA in Art Education from Cal State Fullerton.

Her first job was at Disneyland where she was beautiful enough to be “Alice in Wonderland” but smart enough to be the second woman promoted into management. She was also a Business Development professional for United Way in Orange County.

Besides her husband, Jim, her first love was her Dalmatian dogs. Many of you have seen them around town in Teton Pines. She was nationally recognized by the Dalmatian Club (DCA) of America and the AKC having bred dozens of champion dogs. Barbara was extremely active with DCA having been voted on their National Board of Directors twice. Her other passions included interior design, her art and shopping at Costco. Barbara lived in Orange County, California for over 40 years before moving to Wilson, Wyoming. While living in the Laguna Beach community of Emerald Bay she was voted to be on their Board of Directors, Chaired the architectural committee and was Active on the “Beautify the Bay” committee.

She was an extremely talented artist and interior designer. She completely gutted and remodeled one home in Emerald Bay and two homes in Teton Pines. Many people thought they were “Architectural Digest” worthy.

She is survived by her husband Jim, sisters Laura and Lynette, brothers Rob, Mike and over 30 nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 14, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 PM at Teton Pines Country Club, Wilson, Wyoming. If planning to attend, please RSVP to the Teton Pines receptionist at (307)733-1005 ext. 0.
