Avery Leland Rogers, 33, of Jackson, Wyoming died May 5th, 2019. Avery was born December 12th, 1985 in Laramie, Wyoming to Marty and Judy Rogers. Avery grew up and was homeschooled in Conrad, Iowa. He was active in high school football, playing fullback, and wrestling where he consistently competed in the state championships. He received his associate’s degree in business at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming where he wrestled for three years. He worked various jobs in the Jackson area, becoming CEO of Nutech Roofing in 2016. Avery loved people and especially children; if you were an older person that acted as a child, he loved you even more. Avery was a beloved member of the Jackson, Wyoming community. He donated his time to the Boys & Girls Club of Laramie and the Jackson wrestling team. Avery was an avid pool player, as were his grandfather and great grandfather. He loved to golf and of course snowboard–especially time spent snowboarding Jackson with his daughter Halle. Avery was a veracious reader, reading entire encyclopedias as a child. He was also enthusiastic about building Legos into adulthood, which definitely aided his successful roofing endeavors. Avery is survived by his daughter Halle, 8, and son Theodore, 9 months, of Jackson Wyoming; his mother and father Judy and Marty Rogers of Jackson, Wyoming and Union, Iowa; brother Mike, Jamie, and Lane Rogers of Leadore, Idaho; brother Chase, Sarah and baby Lily Rogers of Jackson Wyoming; brother Levi and Olga Rogers of Prineville, Oregon; and his paternal grandmother Mary Rogers of Union, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jerry Rogers, Union, Iowa and his maternal grandparents Ben and Betty Hammell, Riverton, Wyoming. Family has arranged a viewing for Thursday, May 9th from 6-9 pm at Valley Mortuary and funeral services for Friday, May 10th at 11 am at Valley Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow services at Aspen Hills Cemetery, Jackson.
